I am extremely passionate about 3D - the basis and complexity of it all, the process, and of course that satisfying feeling of seeing the final result.I have been working professionally in the industry since 2006, creating 3D for broadcast through to post production VFX.I am a Maya generalist, and work heavily with Adobe Creative Suite - which of course is mandatory for composition and artwork for 3D workflow.I have also throughout the way become a "motion graphics artist", producing 3d and 2d graphics for television shows (titles, break bumpers and in program content) and for the corporate market. Alike with 3D, I really enjoy the process of compositing and dabbling within other industry mediums.Since early 2009 I have been working for myself, and am always more than eager to get my teeth into challenging projects - and am always open to working full time once again.Having managed several large projects during my freelancing with direct client facing, I found that working with, and overseeing other 3D artists - regardless whether they are an animator, modeler etc - was a great experience, and made some good friends along the way, whilst still keeping a good and strong professional relationship.Please feel free to take a look around this site, and please check out my showreel.If you would like to get in contact with me, you can find my details on the contact page.Cheers!Andy

I was employed to expand the output of the existing graphics department, whose work was 2D based motion graphics. I was directly involved in the creative processes from story boarding, right through to the final graphical/animated product. All the jobs involved direct liaison with the Directors and Editors. I worked on a wide range of projects, from broadcast to corporate videos, including:•Volkswagen producing 3D and 2D graphics for corporate videos.•The Millies Awards (SKY ONE) end to end process of producing an animated 3D version of the military award for the live programme's titles and break bumpers.•Built From Disaster (DISCOVERY CHANNEL) 3D animations representing specific man-made disasters.April 2006 - April 2008 3D Artist & Animator (full time position)GOLDEN SQUARE POST PRODUCTION London, W1F 9JBWorked on television commercials, promotional videos and music promos. Every job was client facing, and to tight demanding deadlines. All 3D work was produced in Maya, with composition in After Effects. The majority of the time, the final composited render was then delivered to the in-house Flame & Smoke artists.There were many projects, but the highlights were:•BSkyB - made around 15 3D commercials, of which was dealing directly with the client. •Mazda - worked directly with director Luke Scott. Used shot online footage to track, and then incorporate the required 3D elements that I had made.•Take That "Shine" - tracked, modelled, animated and textured the environment of which the band were situated.•Girls Aloud "Sexy No, No, No" - visited the location on the day of the shoot as the 3D supervisor. After this, alongside a colleague, we produced all the required 3D elements, of which we then delivered to the Flame artist for composition.
